Today’s strip was the first idea I had for a retail comic strip.  I originally had it formatted for a comic book page.  After scrapping that format, I decided to revisit the strip and seperated it out into 3 seperate strips.  I’m partial to the new strips, I felt the original format was too confining and by being able to stretch it out I was able to add more to the story than I would have been able to previously.  Below is the pencils for my original concept.  The characters are all different and my drawing style is more realistic than what I eventually decided upon.  Missing is the first (undrawn) panel.  It was going to be a picture of the storefront from the parking lot, similar to the first panel of this strip but I never finished the page.  Seeing my pencils you should now realize what I long ago realized, I can’t ink to save my life. Enjoy.
