I am not a fan of shopping.  I’m sure you’ve noticed this by now from my comic strips.  It makes me ill, gives me headaches and just tires me out.  There is nothing worse for me than going out for one thing in specific and then being trapped as the person I came with decides to go on a search for some unfindable item.  Store after store of in-depth searches just destroy me.  It’s as though my soul is being ripped from me as I patiently wait for my friend to finish up.  I try to avoid such instances entirely and tend to do much of my shopping online if possible.  God Bless Al Gore CREATOR OF THE INTERNET, I’d be a very sick man if I couldn’t shop from the comfort of my own chair.

I do however have one weakness when it comes to shopping… book stores.  I can easily spend an hour in a book store without even thinking about it.  A book store to me is the equivalent of a clothing store for many women… I go in to browse and can’t help buying something.  Amazon.com is my complete and utter downfall.  I’m not going to mention the amount of money I spend there yearly.  Let’s just say if I’d invested the same amount in an IRA I’d have lost hundreds last year.  The one click shopping gets me every time.  There’s no thinking about it it’s so easy to click on that one small button and poof I’ve placed my order.  Amazon is the Devil and I love it.

When I learned that my roommate was planning on moving nothing excited me more than all of the bookshelf space I’d be inheriting due to her absence.  I currently have more books than I have shelf space for, and a number of books more on order.  At one time I could have honestly said I’d read at least 90% of the books I owned, but now I’m purchasing them faster than I can read them and have probably only read about 75%.  So here’s to more reading, less shopping, and maybe a visit to the library instead…

LOVE IT!!! I am going to pass it along to Kiersten as she is manager in a retail store at home… I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of it!

    Keep them coming!

(I am a little glad the setting isn’t a camp… I can’t even begin to think about what those comics would be out!!)
